Artist Statement: Christy has a deep connection with music, which has been a constant companion and source of solace for her throughout her life. She told me how music helped her cope with various challenges and transitions, and how it always lifted her spirits. That’s why I decided to create a music box for her, as a way of honoring her musical passion and expressing my gratitude. I came up with this idea not long ago, after exploring other possibilities related to music. The colors of the music box are inspired by her love of water and travel. She enjoys visiting different places and being near the ocean, the lake, or the river. I used different shades of blue and green to create a fluid and oceanic effect, as if the music box was a part of the water itself.
