Artist Statement: Nine lives afford much time to be confronted with life's harsh nature, but what is also afforded is much time to reflect, learn, and piece ourselves back together. An intersection of Japanese tradition and Norwegian myth sees a nurturing demeanor that can only come from lived experience and reminds of the downright necessity to stay golden by always seeing the silver linings.

My Inspiration, Jess, has been tremendously insightful to work with and learn from, seeing her roll with the punches. Until present my art had only ever been about my own healing and now I've had the opportunity to see much more how that can be achieved through collaborative efforts, and the inspiration that comes from the wellspring of those around us, and not solely in creative endeavors.
